A group can only have a member of a particular race at the time (two races, two humans, one dwarf, one elf), and there is also no numerical limit on the number of members you can have in a patrol. So, for instance, I have four dwarves, four elves, and one gnome in my group. Each patrol group is tied to a particular guild that serves as its home and provides certain bonuses. A group’s main priority is to patrol the capital city, Riva (or some other city, if you prefer). The profession system is somewhat similar to the first game, but it can be played as a separate entity in your own game. First you build a profession building for each profession you choose to use. You also build profession training stations, which train a certain amount of units of each profession (up to three) each hour. There is also a new government system (which you can use separately from the profession system), but more on that later. You get five “jobs” to play with in the game. Your job determines the types of jobs you can do. For example, you can be a Runner, who takes jobs on patrol and repair missions. You can be a Trader, who gets jobs to market your wares and arrange shipments. There are five professions available in the game. Aside from Merchant and Runner, the other three are Weaponcraftsman, Mechanic, and Geomancer. Each profession can be played as a separate entity, which means that I could make a Merchant guild, a Runner guild, and a Mechanic guild for my game. You can also specialize your units within your own profession if you want. For instance, a Runner guild could have one runner who focuses on locating and assisting troops and another who focuses on locating bandits. There are eight classes in the game, each of which is tied to a particular profession. The four basic classes are Soldier, Archer, Mage, and Magewright. But the full list of classes includes Fencer, Duelist, Illusionist, Stealth Mage, and Magewright/Invoker. The first class you can choose is Soldier.
